" SECRET FALLS " is the perfect cabin for your family vacation or getaway!POOL TABLE and HOTTUB!Over 100 years old and has a CASCADING RIVER in your front yard!Located just outside of action packed Pigeon Forge,Tn.Only minutes from Dollywood Theme Park,Splash Country Water Park,Nascar Speedpark,Boyd's Bears Superstore,over 200 Outlet Stores,Louise Mandrell Theater,The Comedy Barn,and Celebrate America..Just down the road is beautiful Gatlinburg,home of the World's Largest Tram that goes up the mountain to the Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort and amusement park.Enjoy the views from the Space Needle or take a ride on the Sky Lift for more spectacular views!Enjoy dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe,or go sight-seeing in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park but don't feed the Bears!Also the worlds's most visted aquarium,Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies! Everyone really had a great time at the Secert Falls was the first staying at this cabin.We had fun playing pool and at the end of the day,the hot tub was a blessing.
The only thing that we didn't like was the parking was just too small.Made all the girls nervous,that included me also.But,my husband handled it like a pro.
The view was beautiful and so peaceful sitting on the porch.The cabin was clean and felt like a home away from home.
Next time we go back up to the mountains,we'll still go through American Mountainn Rentals.The ladies there are wonderful.They even stayed on the phone with me until we got to the was dark and raining when we got there and we just couldn't find the cabin.They are great ladies to deal with.

The cabin was beautiful, clean and had a beautiful view. The major downfall was that the climbing of numerous stairs on the bridge to get to the cabin was very difficult for me and my sister. This is a beautiful cabin if you are in great health, but if you are even a little bit limited in mobility, don't rent this cabin. The parking was also sparse and awkward. Otherwise, the stay was gorgeous and we enjoyed ourselves.

We were very pleased with the over all condition and location of the cabin. The cabin actually exceeded our expectations. We will be back in the future. The only down side was the manager of the restaurant / wedding falls place at the sight entrance. He was quite a jerk and approached my kids playing in the river and told them they had to get out, then he talked to my wife a very degrading manor. Not once didi he ask if we were renting a cabin until we were walking back up to the cabin, then he said "Oh, sorry" That guy really left us a little angry. Other than one jerk at a ****** restaurant, everything was great. You will hear from us again. Thanks for a great vacation.

The cabin was in great shape with a lot of character. We liked the fact that it was over a 100 years old. We got to see a black bear that was in the woods by the cabin. The creek in front, looked so beautiful! We enjoyed our time there. Wished we could stay longer.

My husband, two granddaughters (ages 10 & 13) and myself reserved this cabin for the last week of June 2012 in early February. The more we looked at the pictures of the property, the greater our anticipations and hopes became. We couldn't wait for June to arrive! When our vacation time finally arrived, we suddenly became concerned that we would be let down because our expectations were so very high. Well, we weren't. The river and its waterfalls (and yes you can hear them), the bridge over the river, the cabin, the wooded mountain side - everything was so much more than we could have envisioned. The cabin has all the modern conveniences you need but still allows you to experience nature and all its natural splendor. The cabin porches were one of our favorite places sit and 'take it all in'. The moments we spent in this cabin has provided us with a liftime of memories. We definitely will return (hopefully in the fall).
Note: There is no access to this cabin if you are mobility impaired.

Interesting place to stay. The falls were beautiful. Indoor insects, but what do you expect in the middle of the woods on the side of a mountain. When shooting pool, the table leans to one side! Parking a little tricky and tight. Overall what we expected. A little over priced for what you get.

This cabin is very old-the rooms are all open but one,so if u want a little more privacy have more than 2 people staying-this might not be the cabin for you. The parking is very little-and the walk is long to get to the cabin-these are the only down falls. The cabin driving is not up hills or mountains-it's on flat land. The cabin sits next to a waterfall beautiful view-I love the sound you could faintly hear it inside. The cabin itself is really very rustic inside-which I love. The toilets have chains to flush with. Every room has been updated enough to make the stay worth it. I will definently come back-and would recommend it to family and friends.

I am so glad at the last minute that I changed my cabin to this one. It was myself-my husband & 3 kids (11,7 &1). We had an awesome time---this cabin needs to be visited by people who love rustic-old-historic log homes!! If you want luxury-this isnt it and thats a good thing!! This cabin is old and is aging well!! The kids love and miss the cabin. The roar of the creek outfront is awesome!! This cabin is a complete package. The floors creek which is great-the cabin smells like a fireplace which is great also. We plan on making this cabin our yearly vacation from now on. The kids will never forget the time we spent at this cabin and thats exactly what I was looking for. The perfect cabin for a family who likes to explore and take in nature and history!!

Looking out over the river every day was wonderful! We easily spent every day hiking in the smokies, and had some hot tub and fireside time afterward. Having a full kitchen on vacation was great, and we got to spend more time in the cabin that way. The town was a bit disappointingly touristy, but it was easy to forget that in the cabin.

All in all, a gorgeous trip! I would love to return in the spring!

We always go to the mountains in Oct. and we try to stay at a different place each time. This is by far one of our favorite places. I have never saw a kitchen so well stocked. Anything you needed was there. The porch overlooking the river was perfect. We spent most of our time on the porch after we had explored the nooks and crannys of the cabin. It reminded me so much of the years I was growing up. The lopsided doors and floors was just great. We drifted off to sleep to the sound of the falls and rushing water and we woke up to the same sounds. Absolutely wonderful.

Stayed at Secret Falls with our four children and they loved everything about this cabin-- the creek, the hot tub and pool table, even how old the cabin is! We were surprised by the closeness of our only neighbor, but it didn't take away from the experience. Our only real complaint (besides having to leave!) is that some of the appliances didn't work well-- the washer and stove, and the toaster and blender were broken. Other than that it was everything the website said it would be-- relaxing, rustic, and WONDERFUL!

We loved the cabin, the children played pool over & over & over. But one needs to plan ahead and be in good physical shape to walk from parking to going up the stairs to the cabin! I was out of breath by the time we made several trips back and forth with luggage and groceries. The cabin was a little too dusty for my liking. I fought really hard to not dust and super clean while there - this drove me nuts. A vacation getaway is to relax... But other than this, we really enjoyed the rustic interior decor, the view of the falls and the hot tub. Oh, and did I mentin the view of the falls?! The kids were already planning their trip back as we closed up the cabin!
My family and I had a wonderful time. Secret Falls was in an ideal location and made for an authentic mountain cabin stay.

The only reason for teh poor score on property clean is that the hot tub needed cleaning specifically on the left side. It looked as though the cleaning people had just been pushing the cover partially back and missing that side. It was built up grime. This could cause health problems. Other than that this is a wonderful property I would recommend to anyone. Our stay was great. We hope to come back soon.

My wife and I stayed at Secret Falls the first week of Oct 2009 and had an overall great time; the location was close to both Pigeon Forge and just a short drive to Gatlinburg. The owner has it decorated very nice and we felt right at home. We did find it odd to find a cabin right below us and two others close by and the cabin located right below a busy road, when we were told the cabin was secuded. The Cabin was very nice, but there are some repairs that need to be made to window, door screens and the outside lights need work. There were cobwebs everywhere; the cabin needs a through cleaning both inside and out to remove. The hot tube was very relaxing but it also needs work on the jets and needed to be vacuumed out before we could use. We enjoyed waking up each morning and listening to the water rushing over the rocks as we drank our morning coffee. The most relaxing vacation we have had in years.

We loved the cabin! It was clean and well kept! The only little problem we had was that we got into town early and were exhausted. We had to wait until noon before we could check into the cabin, so that meant having to find things to do around town until we could go to the cabin! No big deal just a small inconvenience. It was worth the wait! Everything was there @ the cabin that we needed! We really enjoyed it and we will come back!
I was a little disappointed with the hot tub the door on the tub was broken, the thermostat really needs to be checked. The hot tub was to hot to get into, but overall we really enjoyed our stay. We would stay there again.

We were satisfied with the property. The only complaints: 1. The website said secluded, but there was another cabin in plain sight of our cabin. 2. The hottub was either scalding or cooler than a normal bath. But overall we were very happy with the cabin. It had a fantastic decor and cozy atmosphere and the waterfall outside was relaxing and peaceful to listen to. This made our honeymoon very memorable and romantic.

As usual, when requesting a cabin online you hope to get the best accomadations based on the pictures and reviews. Once again American Mountain Rentals came through for us. This was our 3rd time renting from them and we have been very happy with the cabins every time. The gentle roar of the waterfall out front makes you feel so close to nature. Open the dining room windows and you can hear it all night long.We brought our 7 year old daughter who loved the upstairs bedroom overlooking the dining room. The kitchen has "more than adequate" stock of pots, pans and utensils. The living area is a little tight with all the furniture because of the bed located in the lower level. The real drawback may be the toting of luggage, coolers, etc up all the stairs to cottage. Although the stairs do offer a spectacular view of the stream and waterfalls. The highway passes in front of the cottage across from the access road, but the noise is blocked by the sound of the falls and the trees block most of the view of the passing vehicles.

The cabin was in a great location. The highway was a bit close, but the road the cabin is on is very private. The hot tub wasn't clean, but when we called the property manager they sent someone right out. It still didn't get very hot. The bathroom facilities could use some updating. Overall the cabin was a bit rustic for my taste, but that's what lots of people are looking for. The next time I visit the area I will look for a cabin a little more modern.

The cabin wasn't spotless but who wants a spotless cabin? It was very ,very clean.The cabin was beautiful and full of charecter. There was so much to do. We have already booked the same cabin again for 2 weeks this time.

The kitchen is well equiped. I served several people for dinner one night. Beds are comfortable. There were more cob webs in corners than I had expected, but other than that all was clean. The creek makes it a more peaceful experience.

The home we rented was in a beautiful setting. The only thing that could have been better is housekeeping.
it was the most beautiful place to stay and watch the river roll by. I loved it, but we think it is haunted by a little girl, we heard pool balls breaking when no one was upstairs

Outstanding! There were a few problems with the DVD player, TV, and remote control. I couldn't get it to work at all, but no major setback because my family enjoyed the activities within the town of pigeon forge

Great Family Getaway

My family and I had a wonderful time. Secret Falls was in an ideal location and made for an authentic mountain cabin stay.

Property could have better upkeep, particularly hot tub & cobwebs around outside and inside cabin. Add chain on upst. toilet.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Secret Falls. It was very beautiful. We hope to come back with our children

Great vacation

I was a little disappointed with the hot tub the door on the tub was broken, the thermostat really needs to be checked. The hot tub was to hot to get into, but overall we really enjoyed our stay. We would stay there again.
