Our family stayed in the cabin during Spring Break. It was a nice time and fit our family of five well. The little one's loved the hot tub especially. The only problem we encountered was not being able to use the DVD player; it wouldn't connect to the TV. However, that small burp wouldn't stop us from coming again.

Overall the cabin was very nice. It is in need of some repair, though. One of the lights over the pool table does not work (not just the bulb); the lights in the Jacuzzi do not work; at one point a squirrel found it's way into the side deck behind the Jacuzzi.

The cabin was well maintained. Repair responded to one small problem promptly. Loved the enclosed porch. Enjoyed the pool table in the basement, and the grill on the front porch. Just one thing needs to be mentioned. the water is pure sulfur (I guess)and takes some getting used to. Bottled water is necessary would have been nice to be forewarned> But overall we had a great time!

We visited for our 2nd anniversary. The place was great and very romantic. Set off from the road a bit it was secluded by trees. Not far from Pigeon Forge or Dollywood. Only two problems: 1) The water smelled like sulfur from their unfiltered well and 2) the fireplace lights were burned out and couldn't be used. Other than that, perfect!

Had a squirrels nest above the hot tub. Had fun watching the squirrel but other people might be afraid of it. Alot of dead trees need cut and the porch some work but overall was a nice little place to stay. Also the grill by the driveway needs removed or replaced.

We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin stay and the convenient location. It was quiet, restful and a great place to relax with our (6) week old kitten. He enjoyed the view and tranquility also. Overall a great experience. From reserving to checkout they make it simple for you. The ladies at check-in were friendly and helpful, answering any questions we had. The cabin was very nice, took us about 12 minutes from the main rd in town. We stayed a week and had everything we needed. We would definitely rent from american mountain again.

My husband and I originally intended to stay only a week...but loved the whole Smoky Mountain experience so much that we ended up staying for an extra week. The cabin was clean and private, everything was in good working order. We had our pet with us and he was comfortable as well..he did fall down the stairs before we realized how steep they were...but he was ok. The staff was friendly, and helpful. We will definately be back!

Perfect little retreat in the mountains near Pigeon Forge. Far enough into the mountains to be secluded but close enough to the area attractions to make sure you always have plenty to do. The cabin itself is amazing, beautifully decorated and filled with romantic touches. American Mountain Rentals did a great job and I intend on using them again when I'm in the area.

Nice small cabin in the woods. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay in the love nest and our looking forward to renting a cabin from AMR on our next trip to Piegon Forge.Staff was great, directions were very good, nice senic trip from main road to cabin.We really enjoyed our stay. AMR really made our first exeicence renting a cabin worry free and we will always remember that and our next cabin rental will be from them. A-1 sevices we really loved it. Thanks and cheers to AMR.

My husband and I just stayed here for our 6th anniversary and had a wonderful time. The only complaint is that the satelite cable does not work, so make sure you bring some DVD's. The location is private and the cabin was beautiful.

The only down side to the cabin was the water had a strong sulfur smell and taste. The Love Nest could really benefit from a water purifying system.

Overall, I enjoyed the cabin and it's amenities. Their were two problems that i had with the cabin though. The first was after driving 7 hours, the lock on the door did not work. The battery was dead and so i had to wait 30 minutes for the housekeeper to change the batteries. The second comment was about the bathroom. The door to the bathroom would not close all the way and if someone walked by, they could see into the bathroom while you were in their. Overall, the cabin had everything i was looking for and i would stay there again.

For the first time, we elected to forego the traditional Thanksgiving feast with family and escape to the mountains. As we chowed on turkey sandwiches at a rest stop on Thanksgiving Day, we missed momma's home cooking, but what a wonderful trip. We travel with a four-legged friend, and it's not always easy to find a nice place that is pet friendly. This cabin was perfect. Very nice. Very clean. We loaded in on Thanksgiving day and with the exception of an afternoon hike, we held up in the quiet secluded little place all weekend. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and pool table -- luxuries we don't have home. It was a rainey weekend, but no worries; we were as content as could be. A real wood burning fireplace would have been nice, but I would still highly recommend this place. Ideal romantic getaway for two -- and doggie. :)

The Love Nest was amazing. So romantic and beautiful the setting is great your not right ontop of another cabin, and I believe the pictures did the cabin no justice what so ever. This cabin was such a wonderful discovery we will be returning.

the location was beautiful and convenient. we came for our 2 yr anniversary and were very happy! we only had one complaint... the web site said there was an electric fireplace... there wasnt a fireplace exactly.. it was totally fake! it just plugged in and a fake fire came on it didnt even put out heat but it still set off a very romantic glow that set the mood... other than that it was perfect

Shower in this cabin would run out of sufficient water. The water would run down to a trickle before a shower was completed at times. The shower is very small. The indoor jacuzzi could not be utilized because the tub "stopper" was defective and therefore water would not stay in the tub. Outdoor hot tub interior design is such that it only holds one person comfortably, had the interior seat design of the hot tub been different, its size would have accomodated up to 2 people comfortably. Also, I would have liked the cabin set up better had the bedroom been downstairs where the pool table is, that way it would have been more private. The TV and VCR is in an alcove over the staircase going downstairs which makes it dangerous to lean over railing (which is not sturdy) to put in DVD's or manually turn the set off as the remote will not turn the TV set off. Also from the bed the TV screen is blocked by the bedposts.
